With a group like theirs you can be sure they'll reach their goal in no time flat... Dragon Ball Z - The Final Chapters is the third English dubbed feature film based on the Dragon Ball franchise, along with Dragon Ball GT. It was released on VHS by Pioneer Entertainment in 1998, and again in 2000 by Manga Entertainment. The feature was released on DVD for the first time by Funimation Entertainment in 2007. Unlike most of the other dubbed films, which are based on original stories, this movie is based on a previously released manga called "Goku's Rage", which tells the same story but it has some differences from the final chapters of Akira Toriyama's manga. This film was produced during the second dubbing era and used voice actors who appeared in all three of the previous and well as this movie. It has two sequels: Dragon Ball Z: Broly - Second Coming and Dragon Ball Z: Bio-Broly. The English dubbed version is rated PG – Parental Guidance Suggested. It was edited for content, profanity, and violence, such as the red glow effect on Piccolo's eyes who looks menacing after absorbing Nail. In November 2004 Funimation released a DVD box set titled "First Strike", which features both "Goku's Rage" and it's first two sequels without edits on DVD for the very first time. This film is available in the U.S originally VHS, then on DVD. It is also available in the UK originally VHS, then on DVD. On September 9, 2018 Funimation announced that this movie would be re-released on September 24, 2018 on digital HD & Blu-ray along with the other 13 movies. Dragon Ball Z - The Final Chapters was one of three Dragon Ball features to be broadcast in Japan on Fuji TV and their affiliated stations two weeks after it's U.S premier and broadcast in Japan by Toei Animation. It was announced in January 2019 that the film will be released around the world in around 7 languages which will include Japanese, English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French and Arabic. A CD soundtrack to the film was released on February 23, 1998 by Columbia Records/Sony Music Entertainment. The tracks are composed and conducted by Shunsuke Kikuchi and performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra. The film has received mixed to positive reviews from critics and audiences. IGN rated it a 7/10 calling it a powerful movie with twist and turns and "some of the greatest animation ever to grace a DBZ movie". cfa1e77820
